The winter at Chateau de Pitray and the southwest of France is cold. It is not typical for it to snow, but it does happen. These photos were taken on January the 6th, 2009. Aside from the snow, the other major difference in the landscape - between summer and winter - is the lack of foliage on most of the trees and the vineyards. Without a doubt life and its moods is not the same between winter and summer.
